The award-winning Texas Vietnam Heroes Exhibit is on display in Abilene, Texas at the 12th Armored Division Memorial Museum through June 2nd. An arrival ceremony conducted by the Southeast Texas and West Texas Chapters of the Texas Patriot Guard Riders was conducted on arrival and included the presentation of flags to the family members of CPL Victor Lee De Foor (KIA 7/10/1970) and PFC William Thomas Roberson (KIA 1/31/1969).
The exhibit of 3,417 personalized dog tags honors the Texans who were killed or are unaccounted for in the Vietnam War. The exhibit is a memorial extension of the Texas Capitol Vietnam Veterans Monument on the grounds of the State Capitol in Austin.
On Saturday, May 10th at 1 P.M. the museum will hold a public reception to mark the official opening of the TVHE at the museum. Admission to visit the exhibit is free while it is in Abilene. Click the link for operating hours of the 12th Armored Division Memorial Museum.
