The Air Power Panel
Striking Fear in the Enemy

Jim Lamar
Air Force Fighter Pilot
Air Force fighter pilot Jim Lamar flew more than 80 combat missions before his plane took fire and he ejected at the speed of sound over North Vietnam. When he woke on the ground, he was quickly captured as the 84th American Prisoner of War. He would spend almost seven years in captivity in Hanoi.
