Visiting the Texas Capitol Vietnam Veterans Monument

When you arrive at the monument site, simply scan the QR code located on the monument plaque and allow us to be your virtual tour guide through every figure and panel on the monument using our mobile web app. The mobile tour has been specifically designed for mobile devices and tablets and includes audio-video explanations of each design element as well as first-person accounts by those who lived it. You can choose to be guided through each figure and panel in a linear fashion, or if you prefer, you can skip to individual panels or figures at your own pace.

Parking and Accessibility

Parking is available in several state garages around the Capitol complex for a small charge. The monument is fully accessible, with the best accessibility from the northeast sidewalk.

The Texas Capitol Vietnam Veterans Monument will stand as a permanent honor to all Texans who served in the Vietnam War – and it will also serve as a permanent memorial to the 3,417 Texans who never came home.  This memorial will be made through The 3417 Project, which will individually honor each Texan who died in the Vietnam War.
